Closed Terrarium – H 24 X Open D 36 X Base 28 cm

These are sealed glass containers where tropical plants such as mosses, ferns, orchids, fittonia, peperomia, and other air plants are grown. Unlike open terrariums, the closed terrarium creates a unique environment for plant growth, as the transparent walls allow for both heat and light to enter the terrarium. The moisture from the plants and soil evaporates at the elevated temperature. This water vapour then condenses on the sealed wall of the container and eventually showers back to the plants and soil below causing slow and steady growth of the plants.
